You are welcome shraqs, I think you misunderstood something about this post!!! this post is really about the legal versions of Microsoft office and not about any cracked activation process.

I followed the instructions very carefully and did restored the backup before running any of the apps, but it did not work for me - I was still prompted to activate the product.

(Microsoft Office 2007 Ultimate - I am trying to install the legitimate second copy on my laptop, using the activation files from my desktop)

This is really a good tip for me now, thanks for your writing!

I buy Office software for my laptop. And I re-install my system frequently… (I don’t know how to maintain Windows well, haha!)

I’m really worried about my windows and Office online activation will be forbidden due to I activate it many times.

Now I have solution in Office. I will try it out. Thanks for your information!!!

Tried above software to save the activated microsoft office files. It works on Microsoft Office 2003 activation files perfect, but for saving the Microsoft Office 2007 activation files and restoring on new installed windows(tried on Microsoft Windows XP and Vista) it did not worked. Do you know some other way to save the Microsoft Office activation?

I work for a company that owns about 30-40 laptops that we rent. I’m finally trying to implement a reimaging system so when the laptops come back from a rental, I can start fresh. The problem I’m running into is that Office needs to reactivate each time & the it’s using the activation key from the original image. Will OPA-Backup restore the activation key for each machine as I move forward? My goal is to have each machine with their original activation back on.

Thanks!

Hi bhsoundman

OPA Backup can save the activation files of individual Office activations on every machine. So there should be no problem in saving separate activation files. Further for Imaging purpouse I would recommend the use of a Software called Acronis True Image. Acronis save ALL files on your computer(It makes a snapshot of your Harddisk), So the activated Offfice files will also be saved together with other files of your hard disk.
