The IT Big Boss Google announced today its Next generation Datacenter in Austria in Kronsdorf in Linz-Land. As per Governor Josef Puehringer the construction work on 75 Hectares of land will start very soon after a few technical tests completed. The small problems in the way to buy land are now history. It would be one of the biggest datacenter from 30 of the main datacenters in Google’s portfolio. As per today Google was thinking of giving it a name called “A4″ or COTU “Center of the universe”.
To settle the operation it took one and a half years of hard work. Altogether twelve countries in Europe had initially been in the race. A total of five Austrian provinces have placed bids. Google gave the sign only about a year ago for Upper Austria’s Linz.
The local authorities are supporting the Search Engine Company Google well, because it is very good for the Economy of Kronsdorf. Economic Councillor Viktor Sigl - In the first phase there would be 50 to 100 skilled jobs available. The investment should be anywhere in a three-digit million area. Crucial were ultimately the size of the available land and the existing infrastructure such as electricity, water supply and transport links.
